After an impressive concert during our season opening, London’s 12 Ensemble will come back with Metamorphosis: from the miraculous nature of transformation to Strauss’ monumental elegy to lost beauty. Performed within an immersive dreamworld of live visuals created by Art Director Ben Ditto.

The pieces 12 Ensemble decided on for Metamorphosis find their inspiration in the transformation of all forms. They explore Renaissance hymn reborn as futuristic prayer, ancient Japanese ritual, and otherworldly operatic arias. Strauss’ iconic Metamorphosen is at the heart of the almost never performed cult classic Zipangu from Claud Vivier. The 12 Ensemble will be immersed in a true dreamworld through visuals created by art director Ben Ditto.

Preliminary discussion at 7:30 PM in the Eduard Flipse Zaal

Have you seen the NEIGHBOURS exhibition? In the foyer of the Great Hall you can see beautiful portraits of local residents - poor, rich, hip, young and old. A nice mix of tradition and modernity. Definitely worth a visit before or after the concert!
