A powerful orchestral imagination of our solar system, conducted by our principal guest conductor Tarmo Peltokoski.

At a time when polar expeditions still required heroism and space travel existed only in the imagination, Vaughan Williams and Holst wrote their great musical vistas. The Planets takes us on a journey through the solar system; the Sinfonia Antarctica - almost never heard in the concert hall, but utterly brilliant, according to Tarmo Peltokoski - shows the unapproachable beauty of the South Pole. Dazzling.
