Joe Hisaishi in Concert

Joe Hisaishi, arguably Japan's most famous composer, is renowned for his long-standing collaboration with animation director Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. He composed the music for films such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Ponyo, earning numerous international awards. In March 2025, he will visit the Netherlands for the first time, treating audiences to the magical music from Spirited Away alongside the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as several of his own works, including a new harp concerto.

Please note: during this concert, the Spirited Away Suite will be performed by the orchestra only. There will be no film screen displaying scenes from the movie.
