Wende

Wende is one of the most versatile artists in the Netherlands. She moves effortlessly between pop, electronica, jazz and classical, combining these styles in groundbreaking albums and performances. Her trophy cabinet reflects this diversity: she won an Edison Award in almost every category and as an actress was nominated for a Golden Calf. This has made her a fixture in both the Dutch pop and theater worlds for years.

Since starting her career in 2003, Wende has created eight albums and six shows of her own, with success both at home and abroad. In 2023, she reached a new peak in her career with the release of the album Sterrenlopen, which features collaborations with artists such as Froukje and S10. The album debuted at #2 on the Dutch album charts and Wende performed at Lowlands that year, among other venues.

Over the past year, Wende has continued to expand her impressive body of work. She toured internationally with The Promise, played a second sold-out club tour of Star Walk, released her latest EP Vrijplaats, and closed the year with a month of sold-out Vrijplaats shows in Carré.
