Lorenzo Viotti returns to the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra for a monumental performance of Mahler’s Second Symphony. With Laurens Symfonisch and soloists Nikola Hillebrand and Marina Viotti, this Resurrection Symphony gains exceptional power and depth. 

Mahler 2 is a symphony about life, death, and resurrection, where hushed string passages alternate with grand orchestral outbursts. From the whispering opening to the mighty final chorus, this work is filled with contrasts and emotional depth. 

Netherlands Philharmonic  
The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the leading orchestras in the country, known for its powerful presence in both the symphonic and operatic repertoire. As the house orchestra of Dutch National Opera, it performs on major stages under the direction of chief conductor Lorenzo Viotti, collaborating with renowned soloists and conductors. 

Laurens Symfonisch 
Laurens Symfonisch is the largest choir within Laurens Vocaal, performing large-scale classical works with professional orchestras and soloists. Led by Wiecher Mandemaker, the choir regularly appears in major concert halls like De Doelen. 

Nikola Hillebrand  
Nikola Hillebrand is a German soprano praised for her radiant voice, technical finesse, and stylistic versatility. She performs at leading opera houses and festivals, and appears frequently in song recitals and oratorios. 
 
Marina Viotti  
Marina Viotti is a Swiss-French mezzo-soprano known for her expressive stage presence and eclectic repertoire, ranging from bel canto and romantic opera to chanson and metal-influenced crossover. She performs at major international opera houses and festivals and is also active in creative interdisciplinary projects.
