With more than 120 musicians and singers, Sinfonia Rotterdam fills the hall under the direction of Conrad van Alphen with Beethoven’s iconic Ninth Symphony. Since 1972 the “Ode an die Freude” has served as the anthem of the European Union, resounding as a timeless call for freedom, peace, and unity.

The evening opens festively with Maessen’s sparkling Christmas Carol Suite, followed by Mendelssohn’s compelling Violin Concerto, where lyricism and virtuosity intertwine. A concert full of passion and grandeur, where music brings people together.
