Filmmaker Peter Hoogendoorn is back with a film at the IFFR ten years after his critically acclaimed debut Tussen 10 en 12. Documentary maker Esmée van Loon once started re-editing video clips; after her training at the Willem de Kooning Academy, she made the documentaries Ma’Ma Queen and Dubbel Liefde, among others. Her latest film is about the Queer gym, a gym in Delfshaven where everyone is welcome. “It is the first in the Benelux, I wanted to capture that”, Esmée says in the podcast.

After visual artist Gyz La Rivière completes a book about the video stores that used to be found in the region, he decides that there is actually a film in it. It's finished now. In Filmpodcast Rotterdam Gyz talks about it with presenter Shariff Nasr. "There was very little footage of video stores. Making that book was already quite a job. So making a film with moving images seemed like a nice challenge to me.”
