Eduard Flipse Zaal
The Eduard Flipse Zaal is our most intimate concert hall. A hall without a stage, the audience is almost on top of the musicians. Great vibe, intimate and relaxed. Our 'Flip', as we affectionately call the hall, is regularly transformed for workshops, lectures or (small-scale) pop and jazz concerts.
The hall is named after Eduard Flipse (1896 -1973), who was the conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra from 1926 to 1962. And, dit you know that in 1973, The Rolling Stones secretly rehearsed here for five days for their European tour?
