How do I get to de Doelen?

The Doelen is located right in the heart of Rotterdam, within walking distance (400 meters) from Rotterdam Central Station, trams, metros, and bus stops. There are several parking garages around the Doelen. This makes it easy to find your way to our concert hall and conference center.

When do the doors open?

If you want to have a drink before the concert you will find the opening hours listed in the servicemail. The auditorium doors usually open half an hour before the concert starts but this may vary.

 

When should I applaud during classical concerts?

At classical concerts, applause typically occurs when all movements of a musical piece have been performed. Not sure when a piece has ended? Then wait until the rest of the audience starts applauding, just to be sure.

 

What is the minimum age for the concerts?
  • For classical concerts, the minimum age is 8 years old, unless otherwise specified for the event. 
  • If you wish to attend an event without the accompaniment of an adult, we recommend a minimum age of 14 years old, unless otherwise stated on the event page.
  • People under the age of 18 are not allowed to enter after 11:00 PM, unless otherwise indicated for the event.
  • No alcoholic beverages will be provided to visitors under the age of 18.

 

Is there a dress code?

There are no dress code requirements, unless otherwise specified by the event/concert organizers.

 

What if I have lost something? 

If you have lost something, you can contact the Lost and Found department. They can be reached by phone at receptie@dedoelen.nl.

 

am I allowed to take photos or videos?

Taking photos or video recordings is not allowed without permission from the musicians and management.

 

can I take my drink into the auditorium?

You are not allowed to bring drinks into the auditorium. If this is permitted for a specific event, we will inform you in the service email sent beforehand.

 

Do you have any questions about your tickets?

How can I download my tickets?

you can download tickets as a PDF via the black button in your order email. If you want to add the tickets to your wallet, click on the (green) concert title.

Are we sitting next to each other?

the Grote Zaal (Main Hall) has odd-numbered seats on the left side and even-numbered seats on the right side. For example, if you have purchased 2 tickets for entrance P, Ring right, seats 82 & 84, then you are sitting next to each other."

 

Can I modify my order?

"If you want to change something about your order, for example because you want to bring another friend along or because you made a mistake, you can simply contact Tickets & Service. We are happy to assist you in adjusting your order or changing your seats.
