Janine Jansen and Beethoven's Violin Concerto - need we say more? The violinist and the famous violin concerto both represent the very highest achievement, as does Schubert's Unvollendete. 

More than a decade ago, Janine Jansen, Paavo Järvi and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen recorded Beethoven's Violin Concerto. Now they return together to this monumental work, the supreme achievement. If there was one composer who strived for the supreme in all his works, it was Schubert, especially in his Unvollendete Symphony. For what better symbol of that striving than a symphony that never reached its final form?
