2025 is underway and that means: let's countdown to the Rotterdam Year of the Woman! We are going to do that together, at the next MEETUP for the theme year, on January 30 from 5 p.m. in the Doelen Studio. We count down to March 8, we add up our strength and we make today count. An afternoon of foreshadowing, examples, fire and connection. With the theme “This is the moment.

Starting March 8 - International Women's Day - Rotterdam is putting the spotlight on its women. After all, in 2025 it will be half a century since the United Nations declared the International Year of Women. An inspiring occasion to give ten months of undivided attention to the women of our city. Their deeds and words, plans and position, struggles and solidarity, vision and examples, legacy and vitality.

Since November 2023, meetups have been organized throughout the city leading up to the theme year. 2025: Rotterdam Year of the Woman has thus grown into a movement that inspires and connects through all sectors in Rotterdam. From culture to sports, education to business and science to politics: together we shine the spotlight, amplify the voices of and build networks with Women of Rotterdam.
