After the Easter Oratorio, PRJCT Amsterdam once again focuses on a passion that is rarely performed: Handel's grand Brockes Passion. In this dramatic score, Handel sets Barthold Heinrich Brockes' poetic adaptation of the passion story to music, with some of his most moving arias and duets.

The compact but expressive choral parts give the work extra depth. Bach performed the Brockes Passion several times in Leipzig and drew inspiration from it for his own Johannes Passion. A compelling rediscovery of a passion that must be heard.
