Art Walks | Aflevering 9: De Nieuwe Muren
The 3 newest works of art in the Doelen have brought the male/female ratio in the art collection a little more into balance. Anuli Croon, Sandim Mendes and Christine Rusche tell presenter Mieke van der Linden and her wingman Siebe Thissen about the backgrounds of their work and how they tackled it in those enormous spaces. Anuli Croon made ‘Tronie & Stad’ for the Willem Burger Foyer, the embroidery ‘Ami nsta li, nkre sta djuntu ku’ by Sandim Mendes hangs in the Eduard Flipse Foyer and above the entrance to the Grote Zaal the mural ‘Reverberations’ by Christine Rusche adorns the wall.
