Every year the National Youth Orchestra goes on tour with a special soloist and star conductor. This year's soloist is extra special: accordion virtuose Vincent van Amsterdam playing Mathilde Wantenaar's new Accordion Concert.

The National Youth Orchestra is one of the few places where conservatoire students can come together in large numbers to play at a very high level. During a tour of the NJO, up to a hundred students are on stage, rehearsing programmes under the direction of a great conductor and with a special soloist. This year it is the turn of Otto Tausk and Vincent van Amsterdam, who play Mathilde Wantenaar's newly written Accordion Concert with the NJO.

photo exhibition NEIGHBOURS

Have you seen the NEIGHBOURS exhibition? In the foyer of the Great Hall you can see beautiful portraits of local residents - poor, rich, hip, young and old. A nice mix of tradition and modernity. Definitely worth a visit before or after the concert!
