On the day of this concert, Reinbert de Leeuw died five years ago. For the last time, the Nederlands Kamerkoor and Asko Schönberg will perform the last programme they made with him, in which Liszt's crossroads culminate into a white hell of snow by Sofia Goebaidoelina. 

For decenia, Reinbert de Leeuw was one of the defining figures for the Dutch music scene. The connections between him and this programme are endless. It is not just some programme he wrote with this ensemble: de Leeuw had a special connetion with Sofia Goebaidoelina, he knew her personally, and personally conducted the world première of Jetz Immer SchneeI. Hence, how Liszt's solo piano work blends into Gubaidoelina's choir music took on an intimate and personal dimension with him at the piano. This concert is completely identical to the programme of the original programme- the only one missing is Reinbert de Leeuw.
