Celine Cairo

An Acoustic Night With Celine Cairo | Solo

Armed with nothing but her enchanting voice and favorite guitars, singer-songwriter Celine Cairo is touring a select number of concert venues solo for the first time this year. She writes acoustic pop songs about love, nature and relationships - both with others and with ourselves.

As a teenager she began performing intimate gigs in her hometown of Amsterdam, was picked up by Edwin Evers and made her first EP with Fink. She built her live sound and has since enchanted both the small and large halls of the Concertgebouw (NRC: "An oasis of beauty"), TivoliVredenburg, Paradiso and Concertgebouw Nijmegen with her five-piece band. She released two studio albums; the Los Angeles-recorded synth-pop album "Free Fall" and follow-up "Overflow," which she recorded with London producer Tim Bran (London Grammar, Birdy).

Always oscillating between the intimate and the grand, she gathered a loyal fan base both live and online. Her music has been streamed over 35 million times worldwide and has been used in international series and films. She has previously fronted Birdy, Haevn, Paul Carrack and Suzanne Vega, won the Silver Nutcracker and recently received a gold record for "Hibernate."

This winter she is touring solo for the first time, using only her unique voice, favorite guitars and the stories behind the music. She plays songs from her previous albums and the recent "Truce EP," some special covers and premieres new work.

For fans of London Grammar, Birdy and Laura Marling.
