Adriaan Hoek presents a rich and varied program in which the Doelen organ brings to life the sound world of composers such as Schubert, Franck, Mendelssohn, and Brahms

The evening opens with Schubert’s Sonata in A minor – a piece full of lyrical simplicity and quiet beauty. It is followed by the gentle Allegretto from Franck’s Symphony in D minor, which gains new depth in this organ arrangement. Mendelssohn’s Prelude and Fugue in E minor combines the clear structure of the Baroque with the emotional richness of the Romantic era.

This program, featuring arrangements made especially for the Doelen organ, concludes with Brahms’ monumental Haydn Variations – a powerful and refined work that crowns the evening. A true treat for organ lovers and fans of Romantic music alike.
