Jeanine De Bique and B’Rock Orchestra bring the timeless story of Venus, the goddess of love, to life in a radiant Baroque program. With her enchanting voice and the vibrant sound of B’Rock, De Bique brings brilliance to every piece.
Curated by musicologist Yannis François, the program spans a century of music from across Europe. Well-known composers such as Rameau, Purcell, and Handel are featured alongside exciting (re)discoveries by Desmarest, Sarro, and Legrenzi.
Each work highlights a different facet of Venus – seductive, powerful, tender, or mysterious – together forming a musical portrait of love in all its forms.
