Ambitus bridges the gap between today's modern composers and their audiences. In this hectic world, it is nice to occasionally check out and lose yourself in the beauty of music. Performed by the composers themselves, every Ambitus presents performance takes you on a musical journey interspersed with personal stories from the creator. It doesn't get much more personal than that.
To some, this music movement may be better known as neo-classical; Ambitus is the platform for contemporary music performed by the composers themselves, where we want to inspire and connect you.

On the steady passage of time. A new album by composer-pianist Douwe Eisenga will be released in September 2025, tentatively titled Another Month, Another Year. Starting in January 2025, a single from this album will be released every month on streaming platforms.

The album contains nine new pieces. The piano takes center stage, shrouded in atmospheric electronics. Live, the composer of the immensely popular piano piece For Mattia, will play solo piano versions of these new compositions, complemented by highlights from previous albums.
