five top concerts in the largest classical concert hall in the Netherlands

This season, de Doelen brings the biggest names in classical music to Rotterdam. With works by Brahms, Handel, Verdi and Tchaikovsky, the city enjoys the very best that classical music has to offer. From the festive Messiah around Christmas to the moving Requiem by Verdi: a unique opportunity - for both experienced and new listeners - to experience top orchestras and international soloists live in de Doelen.

The Messiah by Gli Angeli Genève

Handel's Messiah is as compelling and exuberant as an opera, but with the Christmas story as its theme. The Swiss Gli Angeli Genève, known for their residency at the Festival Oude Muziek, brings this famous work to life with a golden edge. The Messiah is to Christmas what the Matthew is to Easter: festive, over the top and with the famous Hallelujah as the highlight.
